The student members of the Innovation Fund Committee act as stewards of this in-house, mini-venture capital fund. The Committee hears student project pitches on a rolling basis and awards grants of up to $1,000 to student innovators. This Committee works closely with the Mentoring Committee in facilitating the integration of accepted projects into the Weiss Tech House. Involvement with this committee requires up to four hour consecutive blocks of time throughout the semester to hear student pitches. Neal was raised next to the blue water lakes in rural Minnesota. He studied political science at the University of Pennsylvania and was an honors graduate. Neal's work weeks were no-less adventurous than his weekends or his vacations. He spent 7-years in international management consulting and venture capital; respectively, PRTM Management Consulting and RedShift Ventures. Presently, Neal is now back at school studying for his MBA at Wharton Business School. In Spring 2008 he'll finish his MBA and reenter the work force.

Boulos has been on the board of the IF committee for the past three years serving as a 'Pitch Consultant'. He is a fifth year PhD student in the Computer and Information Science program. Boulos graduated from Yale University with a degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining Penn, he worked at Oracle in Silicon Valley for three years. Most recently this summer, Boulos worked at Yahoo! Research investigating new techniques for analyzing large data. Currently, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics and Tau Beta Pi.
