Wednesday, November 8 7:30-9:00pm - The Other $80K: Applying to the Innovation Fund & PennVention Location: Weiss Tech House Interested in getting your innovative idea off the ground? Come learn how the Innovation Fund and PennVention at the Weiss Tech House can make it happen. Since the spring of 2003, the Innovation Fund has awarded grants to more than 50 student driven projects ranging from a new hip replacement prosthetic, to a water-distribution project in Honduras, to a system that enables football players to practice and enhance performance. Established in 2005, PennVention is the premier Ivy-league student invention competition designed to help students create, develop, and commercialize innovative technologies. This year's competition is giving away more than $60,000 in prizes. Past IF and PV participants will be there to share their experiences with the Weiss Tech House in making their innovative ideas a reality. You will also be able to personally ask them questions in a meet and greet social setting. Come learn what Weiss Tech House has to offer! Food will be provided!
