THE DARWINATOR IS NOW CLOSED AND FINALISTS HAVE BEEN SELECTED. PLEASE COME TO THE IDEA SLAM ON NOVEMBER 3RD, 2008 AT THE WEISS TECH HOUSE TO HEAR THEIR PITCHES!

Submit your best, innovative ideas for judging by your peers and the chance to win great prizes at the Idea Slam on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Weiss Tech House. The 10 best ideas submitted online will be chosen by peer raters to compete! The Idea Slam is a contest designed to help connect good ideas with the people who are willing and able to develop them. Any Penn student may participate, and everyone who submits an idea is eligible to win a prize!

Here's how it works:

STEP 1: Log on to the Darwinator at www.darwinator.com

STEP 2: Sign up for an account, and follow the instructions to submit your idea. The password for the tournament is "slam2008".

STEP 3: Evaluate and rank other submissions. The submission round will continue until October 22, 2008. Then the Darwinator will be open for evaluation to all registered members. Registered members can then vote on submissions. The evaluation round will continue until October 29, 2008. The Darwinator software will then generate the top 10 highest rated ideas.You will be notified if your idea is selected. Finalists will present their idea at the "Idea Slam" on November 3 at the Weiss Tech House. All members of the Penn community are invited to attend the "Idea Slam" where they will have a chance to hear pitches,interact with the finalists, and vote for their favorite idea! The winners will receive prizes and all in attendance will have an opportunity to discuss future collaborations!
