In November 2006, University of Pennsylvania presented the first Innovation Week. This initiative, lead by the Weiss Tech House, celebrated Penn's history of innovation and encouraged students from across the University to harness technological innovation for the greater good.

Innovation Week was designed for students with a broad range of academic and technological interests. Local entrepreneurs, alumni inventors and faculty converged at a shared their expertise to a series of events designed to help students develop their innovative ideas. Last year, the program was an overwhelming success, with each event being full to capacity and garnered strong participation from all schools at Penn.

The Innovation Week Treasure Hunt is a creative, trivia-based adventure designed to promote the resources available at Weiss Tech House. It encourages the Penn community to attend Innovation Week events, and to inform Penn students about the history of innovation at Penn with the incentive of $1,000 in prizes.
