The Innovation Week Treasure Hunt is a creative, trivia-based adventure designed to promote the resources available at Weiss Tech House. It encourages the Penn community to attend Innovation Week events, and to inform Penn students about the history of innovation at Penn with the incentive of $1,000 in prizes.

There are 2 ways to score points: (1) participating in Daily Treasure Hunts and (2) attending events. You will need to sign up for two different systems to have your points count towards the week-long Treasure Hunt competition. Your total points will be accumulated the Weiss Tech House Treasure Hunt Backend system. Register for the system at the Treasure Hunt registration page, and login to the system at at the login page.

Each day there will be a different Daily Treasure Hunt. To participate in the Treasure Hunt for that day you must sign up for that specific Treasure Hunt. You can sign up two different ways (as an example, we will use Monday's hunt):

1. Text the code “scvngr wthmon” to 8398-63. You will receive a text message confirming your registration. At any time between 12pm and 6pm, text “scvngr start” to begin the game.
   
   
2. You can also sign up at http://www.scvngr.mobi/wthmon by entering your phone number into the system. At any time between 12pm and 6pm, text “scvngr start” to begin the game.
   
   
3. To compete in the next day (Tuesday’s) hunt, text the code “scvngr wthtues” to 8398-63. Registration will open for Tuesday’s hunt as soon as Monday’s hunt completes. The same applies for Wednesday and Thursday: text “scvngr wthwed” and “scvngr wththurs” to complete in those hunts.

To compete in the game: You will be texted questions from SCVNGR. To answer those questions simply reply to 8398-63 with the answer. The answer is case insensitive, but follow the directions when texting in the answer to make sure that your answer is in the accepted format.

At any time during the game, you can text “scvngr hint” for a hint -- you will lose some points -- or “scvngr score” to find out your score -- and who is the leader!

Do not sign up in teams. Under a team setting only one member of a team will receive the clues, and only one member of a team will be able to text clues. Instead, invite your friends to participate! By inviting your friends to participate, you increase your chances of winning the grand prizes!

Be sure to enter in your phone number if you want your points from the Daily Treasure Hunts to be counted in the weeklong Treasure Hunt. Please enter your phone number as 10 digits, no spaces.

For attending events, you will get points, which are added to your Weiss Tech House Treasure Hunt Backend account. You will also be asked four questions after the event on the backend, which will be easier to answer if you attend the event.
