Bresslergroup
All PennVention finalists will receive personal, one-on-one mentoring from Bresslergroup, Inc., a full service product development firm providing user research and strategic product planning to inform the design and development process.

Bresslergroup Best Product Concept Award: $2500 in professional services to be used at the winner’s discretion towards research, concept development or CAD modeling in the development of their product for production. It may also be applied to a project balance. This award will be presented to the invention based on its manufacturability, sustainability and environmental impact, manufacturability, aesthetics and the extent to which it presents a solution to the user.

QVC
QVC Consumer Innovation Award: $2,500 cash award and a one-hour meeting with the QVC Buyer for that product category will be awarded to the consumer product that best exemplifies:
  • Innovation in the product category (Is this new and different?)
  • Relevance to the target consumer (Will the consumer "just have to have it?")
  • Unique features and benefits (Does it have features not currently found in the market?)
  • Problem solving attributes (Does it solve a common problem?)
  • Combines both high quality and great value (Is it great quality relative to the price?)
  • Demonstrability (Can it be demonstrated on live TV?)

Criteria:
  • You are an entrepreneur with an innovative idea
  • The idea should be a financially sustainable venture /product/business idea
  • The product or venture must impact people in some way, i.e. addresses a social or environmental problem
  • All applicants qualify for an automatic application into the Meltwater Scholarship: "What would you do with $30,000?"
